Smilin’ is the latest release from Birmingham born soul boy Bryn Christopher, released through Polydor Records on August 25th. Smilin’ is the follow up to his massive airplay hit ‘The Quest’ released back in June.
Smilin’ has Bryn’s powerful, soul-charged voice decorate a thumping bass-line, on a song centred around the theme of addiction. It’s a nod to the nostalgic, with a fiercely 21st century groove.
Bryn hit the scene earlier this year with the sensational single ‘The Quest’ which recently featured on the closing scenes of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 4 finale which has created a buzz for the kid from the midlands in the US already and his video on YouTube also felt the effect with over 200,000 views following the transmission.
The talented 22 year-old has already supported Amy Winehouse and Mary J. Blige and more recently played his own storming set at Glastonbury and The o2 Wireless festival. He’s soon to be playing with Chaka Khan at the forthcoming itunes festival on July 26th.
Bryn’s debut album ‘My World’ will be out September 1st.
